Discover the benefits of the Bowen Technique.
The experience of Bowen is gentle, subtle and relaxing and it is these features which make ‘The Bowen Technique’ so unique.
Nicky Wybrow
By focusing on specific areas, an effective relaxation of fascia is achieved which enables the body to re-balance, re-align and relieve symptoms of problems that make us feel under par or prevent us from functioning at our optimum.
Bowen works holistically, that is, the body being treated as a whole and not just on areas that are causing discomfort. This is because it is often difficult to be absolutely sure where the discomfort or problem originates from. By working over areas that hold tension, Bowen will encourage relaxation and get to the root of the problem effectively.
Bowen is gentle enough to use on acute issues and injuries as well as newborns and during pregnancy. It is also extremely effective in addressing chronic and long term health problems by improving overall function, hormonal and metabolic balance, posture, relaxation and general well-being.
Bowen does not involve any manipulation, high velocity movements, massage or deep prolonged pressure, or the use of oils or any equipment.
Clients report the experience of pain relief, improvement of function and recovery of energy.
Bowen is suitable for all ages including babies and pregnant women.
I became interested in Bowen following a year long battle with back pain and muscle spasm. Bowen was recommended to me by a relative who had received treatment for an ankle injury. She was so impressed how quickly she recovered where other therapies had failed.
Each session involves very small light touches and each client responds differently. You may feel little or no improvement initially, but Bowen will start to take effect immediately. Many clients experience immediate, noticable changes and require only 3-4 sessions to clear imbalances.
